I am a wife and mother of two sons. Our eldest son, Justin, was killed in a car accident September 27, 2010. He was 25 years old. This blog is my journey through the deepest grief a parent can experience, the unthinkable words a parent never wants to ever hear...“I am sorry to tell you, but your son Justin is dead.”
Doug and I have been married for more than 30 years, and the blog tells our story too, the struggles, tears and sometimes laughter of learning to live again.
My heart is somewhat heavy and words seem like weights. My heart remembers this day as the day we laid Justin’s body to rest. I spent some time visiting his grave, remembering, reflecting…the heart never forgets. He shall always be a much beloved son, brother, and good friend.
